You can continue to argue semantics as to why having a team that "could" make a top 8 is easier than having a team that "should" But at the end of the day, Group C is an average seed of 8 while Group B is an average seed of 9... not a monumental difference. Take care

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports teams that should make top 8s don't necessarily make them. teams that can make top 8s usually replace them. mci should be around 10 in power rankings. just because you're around 10 doesn't mean you can't make a run.

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports that's just eu depth though. eu just has 5 teams at all times that *can* make top 8s, doesn't mean they do. at the end of the day, vitality is needing a reverse sweep against kc for 1 seed, while nrg gets to play mci for it. you tell me which is scarier.

@swiwindler @RLEsports GK made top 8 last major in a tougher group... That team was just Seikoo with 2 players in worse form. Also, top 8 doesn't mean you finish 2nd in your group. Top 8 are also the teams who finish 3rd and win 1 or 2 playoff series.

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports no. there's teams that are contenders, top 4-5. teams that are probable top 8 teams. and then teams that are *maybe* top 8 with a lucky bracket. mci, as much as i love the players, is the latter. put them in any other group they aren't favored to make 2 seed.

@swiwindler @RLEsports NRG and Man City are certainly top 8 LAN caliber, shouldn't even be a conversation on that. MIBR probably not, but they look on decent form

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports my main problem is that only 1 group doesn't have 2 top 8 lan team tiers in it. every other group you can easily name 2-3 teams like that. meaning groups are completely unbalanced.

@swiwindler @RLEsports so you're just upset that KC and Vitality are in the same group, I take it? even though they have the worst NA team and Wildcard in the group as well? NRG's path is just as "easy" as Man City's. regardless of group, NRG isn't ever going to go out in the group stage.

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports 1 simple rule. first and last seed is the only regional overlap that could happen. do that and groups would be fine. instead, we have nrg getting free runs to top 6/top4 and they literally can't go down for playing badly.

@swiwindler @RLEsports There is literally no way that you can avoid 2 EU teams being in the same group. The admins are not making conscious decisions to rig NRG's path to be easier. Sorry man.

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports group seedings are even initially and are moved around to avoid teams from the same region being in 1 group. this was literally a conscious decision that rlcs admins made. this happened because of a conscious decision. now we look at nrg's group in boston. ridiculous.

@swiwindler @RLEsports You're right, the RLCS admins are totally rigging it for NRG it's because there are 5 EU teams and only 4 groups. whichever group had the 2nd EU seed would have a slightly higher average seed...

@TorrentCorpRL @RLEsports no, rlcs admins willingly made it so group a, the group with the #1 seed itw has a 32 total seed, while group b is 37. why did they do that? 5 seeds is a massive diff.

@swiwindler @RLEsports I mean that's how it works as a 1 seed. Vitality just got a tough draw with KC because there are 5 EU teams and 4 groups, and KC underperformed this split. They also have a free win (wildcard)... who are arguably the 2nd worst team here
