This just means there will be 8 more teams playing in Dayton. Just a reminder to ~some~ fanbases of teams that have played in Dayton before (not mine): Play-in wins don’t count as NCAAT wins. In Dayton, you are literally playing to get into the NCAAT. Hence “play-in” (just making sure ~they~ can follow). Beating bum ass Wyoming on Tuesday just to get stomped by 40 points to St. Mary’s in the 1st round is not a tournament win. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
