I am sick of dirty politics by elite politicians and want to unveil the truth before their eyes.

If I remember correctly, you worked hard to bring PNC to power. Were you naive enough to also believe the "one or the other" mindset or were you helping them with an ulterior motive in mind? Why talk about it now when you could've talked about it back then as well?

Moosa Zameer’s cousin Hassan Rasheed is the new Defence Minister.

I’ve said this before, one of the biggest reasons many politically active Maldivians don’t stand for values and principles is simple because we don’t notice it, and even when we do, we don’t appreciate it. When it comes to @lucasjalyl , I’ve told him the biggest mistake he made was accepting a political post during the MDP government. But here’s what sets him apart. he never compromised his values. He was the only person within MDP, while holding a political post, who openly criticized the very government he was part of and supported. That is exactly what this country needs, people who refuse to follow blindly, who are willing to speak up and hold their own government accountable. While corruption spread across the nation, almost every MDP political appointee chose silence. Lucas Jaleel did not. He spoke out. He was repeatedly called in and warned by PO. They kept him in position not out of support, but because removing him could have caused even more damage. And today, nothing has changed. Under the current PNC government, the same pattern continues. Those in political posts remain silent, even when they know the government has drifted far from its promises, even when they see the very corruption it once pledged to fight. What we need is more people like Lucas Jaleel. The MDP government failed because few people dared to take that stand. The PNC government still has a chance, but only if more voices within it break the silence, speak the truth, and stop a handful of individuals from hijacking the system. Lucas spoke against MDP when MDP was in power. He supported PNC coming into power and now speaks against PNC while it is in power. That is the exact opposite of what most Maldivians do. Most people align themselves with whoever holds power. Even senior politicians like Mahloof took that path. If we don’t start valuing and supporting people like Lucas Jaleel, silence will remain the norm. People follow what gets rewarded. And in our country, it’s time we start rewarding truth, rewarding those who take a stand, and those who have the courage to speak, no matter who is in power.
