Happy World Tapir Day Malaysia is among the countries that have the largest tapir species in the world. This tapir species is known as the Malayan tapir or its scientific name Tapirus indicus. Interestingly, this species is also the only tapir species in the world that has a distinctive color, namely white stripes on its body. Behind its unique appearance, the tapir plays an important role in maintaining the balance of our forest ecosystem. However, despite its importance, this species is increasingly threatened. Loss of habitat due to development activities, road accidents, and irresponsible human activities continue to endanger the population of this species. World Tapir Day reminds us that every species has its own role and value in the natural world. Without our actions today, future generations may not be able to recognize this unique species. For the clothing, I referenced traditional Swahili attire from Comoros. In the past, we were often shirtless and dressed similarly to the Mijikenda, but we wore crossed chest straps.
