@MrsDown23 @TowerDeanClose @tes @educationgovuk @ofqual And you're right. But you know that you will be in the minority and that many parents in private schools will have put pressure on the school. Others with deep pockets will be offering 'gifts' for top grades.

You would be very welcome to check any process I went through in helping give justified grades without fear or favour. It is utterly not to our benefit to lie seeing as several subjects have been scrutinised by Ofqal.

To pay for your child's education and then have the school submit a 'fail' would not be welcomed by parents. I wouldn't believe a single private school grade that comes from a schools self marking.

@CambridgeUgly @MrsDown23 @tes @educationgovuk @ofqual So why say ‘all the private schools will lie.’ This is a slur on professionals who worked incredibly hard in trying circumstances for the good of their students, which includes fair and evidenced assessment of their work.

@Charlie48488887 @logiscompHarris @tes Absolutely right, Charlie. I can tell you from a teacher’s perspective that this process took hours and hours, and was conducted with professional integrity and scrupulous fairness.

I work in the independent sector and we were rigorous and professional in awarding grades, and able to justify each one with evidence. This process took many hours and we were called to give evidence across several subjects

@tes @educationgovuk @ofqual That's because the private schools will all lie. They have to justify the fees they charge so none will say a student has failed!! State schools will be more rigorous and honest. Money buys the grades!
