It’s been a fantastic start to our time in Stratford Upon Avon- our first residential since before the pandemic! Our lucky six are very excited for the coming days and their work with the @rsc Next Generation Backstage programme! #ProudToBeTowers

@Helen_Amass I’ve been running cheer at @TowersSchool in Ashford, Kent for 12 years. I got nearly 100 students in years 7-13 training across 3 teams. We compete at schools competitions and sometimes all star competitions. It’s such an amazing sport to have in schools.

What an exciting week we have ahead of us! Six of our finest backstage team are off for a residential with the @TheRSC as part of their Next Generation Backstage programme- the itinerary looks so incredible that we are still in disbelief… 1/2

We have 100 primary school children with us to watch our Gold @ArtsAward cohort’s performance of our 37 Plays Project & we are visiting @JVCompany TWICE to watch their new production Alice! We also continue or rehearsals of Mary Poppins and our @NTConnections show! #busymuch 2/2

There was a beautiful installation of poppies at the front of @TowersSchool this year. Each piece was made by a pupil 👏

Velocity Dance Performance Company started learning 'Step in Time' today for @PerformingArtsF @TowersSchool Mary Poppins show. They had so much fun, it is going to be amazing, what a talented group of dancers 🤩

We are so proud of our first cast and their production of Brainstorm tonight! They made us laugh out loud and brought most of the audience to tears. A fantastic show made even more special by the fact it was many of our cast’s first time on the stage! Now for show two tomorrow!

The weather has not been on our side this week, but the Visual Arts department have worked hard this week to get the installation back to a sea of red poppies ready for tomorrow, along with a lovely added tribute from our prefects #WeWillRememberThem  #proudtobetowers
