🏛️ Civic participation beats outrage. Protests can raise awareness, but lasting change is usually made through local councils, MPs and legislation. Know your representatives. Attend meetings. Write to your MP. Get involved. That’s how policy changes. #LocalPolitics

Just arrived to cast my vote in the by-election. Something Andy Burnham cannot do.

Just another reminder that Andy Burnham voted for the Iraq war - an illegal war that cost over a million lives. He has refused to describe the systematic slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza as genocide. So what will change? Nothing. Arms sales to apartheid Israel will continue. Palestine Action will remain banned, and more pensioners will be locked up. Welfare will be cut to fund more weapons. Immigration detention will expand, and mass deportations will continue. Andy Burnham is not the second coming. He's the establishment's last roll of the dice. We've already seen racist pogroms on our streets. That danger has not gone away. So we must organise, build solidarity, and create power from below. Fascism isn't at the door. It's already here. Only socialism can face down this barbarism.

My thoughts on Makerfield. Well done to Rob Kenyon, well done to all Reform activists. We are now so strong that finishing 2nd, outpolling our national vote share, & increasing our vote is considered a difficult night. It is now entirely normal in British politics for Reform to chase the establishment to the line. Labour can only stand Andy Burnham in one seat. The underlying economic and social issues that are tearing Labour and the country apart are still in place. Burnham’s policy prognosis will not fix them. If anything, he will make them worse. A Labour civil war will now follow, perhaps also a debt crisis. Burnham will soon be as unpopular as Starmer. Restore? A total joke. Polled fewer votes than the British National Party. Like I said it would. Rupert Lowe, Restore, & their often 20-something activists have a glaring lack of experience. They simply don’t understand the British people or our culture, nor do the Americans who cheer them on. Reform polled 5 times as many votes. Restore is closer to the Monster Raving Loonies. They are thugs, bullies, and not equipped to save this country. Online clicks just met offline reality. Only Reform has a chance of saving Britain. The Tories, on 2%, are also over. What must happen now is that everybody in the patriotic majority who cares about saving Britain must get behind Reform so we can move more strongly into the mid-to-high 30s in the national polls and take the fight to Labour in every single seat in the country. This is the only alternative to the ongoing decline of Britain.

Not exactly surprised by the result in Makerfield. Whilst there were significant vote swings towards Reform and Restore at the expense of the Conservative party it made no difference to the result. Makerfield is and always has been a Labour stronghold for over a hundred years. It is one of Labours safest seats, it forms part of what they call the 'red wall'.

We said it was Greens vs Reform in Gorton and Denton, and we we’re right then. It will be Greens vs Reform in the Greater Manchester Mayoral election.

Yesterday’s result shows that Reform can be beaten, just as the Liberal Democrats have done in local elections across the country. But while Labour fight over the keys to No. 10, people are struggling. We need real change, not more chaos, starting with a new deal with Europe.
