This weekend is Spring Clean B-L. Over a hundred people are already committed to litter pick up and beautification this weekend. A big thank you to Keep the Midlands Beautiful for providing the Paper Shred Event at Leesville College Park from 9am until noon (or the truck is full)

Spring Clean B-L has been postponed from this Saturday to Saturday, April 13th due to inclement weather. If you are interested in participating don't hesitate to reach out. The Shred Event sponsored by Keep the Midlands Beautiful has also been rescheduled to April 13th.

Trash collection which was scheduled for Thursday was not collected due to driver illness. Thursday's route was to be collected today but the driver is ill again today. Waste Management intends to service this route Saturday. We apologize for the inconvenience.

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina until 6 PM EST

Due to an emergency water main repair water service beyond Batesburg-Leesville High School will be cut off around 6:30 pm. The repairs could take up to four hours. This will impact Summerland Avenue, Bobcat Road, Durango Drive, Gin Branch Court and Battery Drive.

Election time is just around the corner. The Lexington County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will again be hosting early voting locally from Oct. 24th thru Nov. 6th. The site is 423 College Street at Midlands Technical College's B-L location.

Movie Night is this Friday night at Panther Stadium at 9pm. Come out and meet some of the B-L football team members and enjoy a football movie, Invincible, starring Mark Wahlberg. The movie and snacks are free so we hope to see you then.
