@thedeadtongues Here in Chicago we totally understand the need to cancel your show at Schuba’s because of the effects of the hurricane. Hopefully you are managing well. Do you have any information about a possible show in Chicago in the future?

We have made the difficult decision to cancel shows through 10/16 so that we can attend to personal matters back home in WNC in the wake of Hurricane Helene. We plan to still play our upcoming dates in Richmond, Carrboro & Asheville later in Oct, if it is safe to do so.

My Grandpa, a World War II Veteran, was laid to rest yesterday at the age of 99. He bought that house outside of Chicago (Niles) in 1956, and lived in it for 68 years until his death. Born to Slovenian immigrants who came here for a better life. RIP William Bergles 1925-2024

Here’s our Seal of Biliteracy Scholars display, along with the list of additional “Commended” students. There are 12 different languages represented, and we will add more after the March test. This distinction can earn college credit, and students are so proud of their heritage!

@CST_soxvan Can you explain the Joe Mauer love? One year of 90+ RBI, averaged 123 games per year, 12 HRs per year. and before you say "Great for a catcher", only in 5 seasons did he catch over 100 games. Totally overrated.
