Hey @CitroenUK so my car has been waiting for 3 months now for a recall to replace airbags. Appointment at the end of August has now been cancelled because you have "ran out" of air bags! #fail #Citroen #airbags

@Kevin77199503 @MartinSLewis I totally agree. I looked at hire too and it was ridiculous. Im currently getting up at 2am to drive my husband to his job getting home at 4 so no chance of going back to sleep then going to my 12 hr shift and hes getting a taxi home.

I did some rough research and to hire a compact car for 8 weeks is approximately £2k a small used car similar to the C3 £3-5k With absolutely no prospect of compensation. If those that can borrow to buy a temporary vehicle then sell it once work is done then it’s the cheapest option. For those like me with no borrowing ability or access to a loan car (friends family) are screwed frankly.

@MartinSLewis update regarding the Citroen Stellantis recall. I have today been told by my insurance company that I cannot instigate a claim using my motor legal protection. This is for collision only. I am insured by One Protect. They issued a memorandum saying that they will cover drivers for the journey to the dealership for the repairs on a third party basis. This is helpful to some extent as dealerships are unable to collect the sheer volume of cars. 164,000 is the estimate! The home repair companies are overwhelmed also. As noted on the MSE forum newer owners and those on finance have more rights regarding sales taxes f goods act etc. Owners like myself are stuck. Like many other people I have to rely on my vehicle for my spouses ongoing medical care and a father with a terminal illness. Citroen need to sort this mess out and start delivering compensation to owners or an indemnity on the insurance so we can drive. I have also been given (unverified) information that Vauxhall could be next!!

@CitroenUK this whole recall is a farce. Do you realise what stress and financial burden you are putting on people by not helping or communicating. I’ve spent today on my birthday in tears with the stress. You should be ashamed

@SY_Supertram Huge Thanks to the conductor on the Tram from the Arena to Rotherham around 3:40 ish My 13 year old had been for an induction today at a new school and missed her stop. He was so caring and helpful when he saw how upset she was.

Liebes Fußballdeutschland, nach einigen Wochen Bedenkzeit bin ich zu dem Entschluss gekommen, dass es an der Zeit ist, meine Nationalmannschaftskarriere zu beenden. Ich blicke mit sehr viel Stolz auf 82 Länderspiele für mein Heimatland zurück – eine Zahl, die ich mir so hätte niemals erträumen können als ich 2011 mein Debut für die A-Nationalmannschaft gegeben habe. Mein Highlight war ganz klar die riesige Ehre, dass ich im vergangenen Sommer bei unserer Heim EM die Mannschaft als Kapitän anführen durfte! Uns ist nach all den Jahren zuvor gelungen, die Nation endlich wieder stolz zu machen – dass ich dabei einen Teil dazu beitragen konnte, macht mich sehr glücklich. Doch bereits vor dem Turnier verspürte ich in meinem Körper, aber auch in meinem Kopf eine gewisse Müdigkeit, die mich zum Nachdenken gebracht hat. Und die Spiele auf Vereins- als auch Länderebene werden nicht weniger. Ich werde dieser Nationalmannschaft definitiv weiterhin als Fan erhalten bleiben und hoffe sehr, dass gemeinsam der Aufwärtstrend fortgesetzt werden kann – und dann spricht auch nichts dagegen, bei der WM 2026 zu den engsten Titelanwärtern zu zählen. Wir haben einen fantastischen Trainer, eine richtig starke Mannschaft und einen tollen Teamgeist. Danke an alle Fans, Mitarbeiter, Trainer und Mitspieler, die mich auf diesem Weg begleitet haben. Es war mir eine Ehre! Danke, Deutschland! 🇩🇪 Euer Ilkay
