I have said for awhile now that Gerry McNamara, whether it happens or not, should be considered for the Syracuse Orange Men’s Basketball Head-Coaching Vacancy. The Siena Saints had records of 15-14, 17-15, & 4-28 in the last 3 seasons prior to him being their Head Coach. After a 14-18 season in his 1st year as a Head Coach, & at Siena, they are 23-11 & won the MAAC Tournament, getting an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Also, he knows what it’s like to be on a championship-caliber team… & to do it at Syracuse, for what he achieved in the Big East Tournament & as a National Champion as a student-athlete… at Syracuse. Duke beat Siena by 6. Duke beat Syracuse by 37. Siena had 5 players. Syracuse had guys making high six figures. Coaching, culture, and effort matters.

Some people that haven't been following Siena wondering why they only played 5 players. Starting forward Antonio Chandler was ruled ineligible with 2 games left in the regular season. They were already without Tasman Goodrick, one of their starting bigs, for the year.

If Siena's Gavin Doty hadn't twisted his ankle while getting it stepped on on a breakaway early 2nd half, Siena beats Duke. Doty went cold from there on and had no shot-creating push-off. Huge break for Duke.

I seriously need some help here. My neighbor just put up this massive metal fence right along our property line and I’m honestly pretty upset about it. It completely changed the whole feel of my driveway and now it looks like I’m pulling into some kind of industrial corridor. I had no idea this was even happening until the thing was already built. For the love of hoops! Siena’s roster was completely depleted by injuries and a player ruled ineligible. He had no bench.
