For anyone who knows finance, they will know the term “high beta”. It’s the act of moving down the credit curve to get exposure to something that will move in multiples of the benchmark. Unfortunately that works both on the upside and the downside. In crypto, alts and especially memes, are the “high beta”. Even if you think you have a diversified portfolio in crypto, when black swans come swimming, correlation goes to 1. Overlay the high beta element, and that’s why some alts saw 80%+ moves yesterday. So in the context of high beta, how do you interpret relative strength? If you are a supporter of a SOL meme, you look at how much SOL got hit (~20-25% from yesterdays pre nuke price to now) and then if your meme project is down more, yeh that’s the high beta for you. Check $BERT. It’s been hit. Everything has. But relatively speaking, where do you put it? It’s the same as SOL, where all its liquidity is pegged to. Where’s the high beta? That is relative strength and more importantly, the move is by no means a reflection of what @bertcoincto is achieving. Let’s reflect on the 1st year of $BERT, it was incredible. We’ve achieved so much in our first year, top 500 crypto by market cap, 3 incredible market makers, 2 tier 1 exchanges, Web2 AI pet care website, incredible NFT collection, the slickest staking platform across all memes, a new website translated into Chinese and Korean, so much charitable giving. I could go on. Q4 and beyond will be so much bigger. Multi-cycle project. The path we chose was never an easy one. A CTO, without cabal, without VCs, without presale, without paid KOLs, without volume bots. WE achieved this organically and truthfully. There is no project out there that can say that, and that for me is beyond powerful. The market will always allocate capital to relative strength, hard work and purpose. Never forget that. ♥️

Afternoon legends, Hope everyone is having a great weekend and spending it with loved ones. Reflecting on yesterday’s absolute carnage, I genuinely have never seen anything like that in crypto since I’ve been in the market from 2017. The speed, ferocity and $ value of liquidations was incomparable. COVID crash was awful, this felt different. Know that you should never be defined by your net worth, money is money but you can’t put a value on having family, friends and community. If anyone is hurt after yesterday’s events, please seek out friends and family, and take solace in being around loved ones. $BERT held up incredibly well, relative strength speaks for itself.
