Rockin' to Dokken.
Surprised to find bassist Jeff Pilson is from Lake Forest, IL. Played some of my youth hockey tournaments there.

I see people doing crazy stuff with supplements & gadgets in the name of getting healthy when really the 4 elements of good health are simple & straightforward:
1 Eat nutrient dense foods
2 Move your body daily
3 Prioritize sleep & rest
4 Love your people & let yourself be loved
@MadSciDorn That is one of those quintessential mid-80s radio hits.
"Things go better with Rock!". Lol, riffing off the older Coke ad campaign.
Saw the video on the Vevo 80s channel a while back, hadn't seen it in many years.
There are some interesting interviews with Randy Rhoads' bandmates (Rudy Sarzo, etc.) and family members up on Youtube.
Check 'em out if you want to know more.
Get Your Wings is a damn good 2nd album by any band's standards.
Aerosmith was killing it in the '70s and this was the start of their classic 3 album run.
"Lord Of The Thighs" is a classic cut. One of my favorites off this record.

On this day in 1966, Jerry Cantrell is born in Tacoma, Washington.
Best known as the founder, lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and primary songwriter of Alice in Chains, Cantrell helped define the sound of the Seattle grunge explosion in the early ’90s.
A true architect of modern rock. 🔥

Michael Holman and Jean-Michel Basquiat met at the Canal Zone party and decided to form a band with like-minded Downtown NYC artists.
They named it Gray, after Gray’s Anatomy.
Gray - “Sweetness of the New” (1979)
Just heard Greg Gilmore (Mother Love Bone, Ten Minute Warning) tell the story of how he was brought in to play drums on Alice in Chains' debut, Facelift, after Sean Kinney broke his hand just prior to recording.
@DanielMarkham Yeah, I mean it's not the sort of thing I'd usually listen to but the guy has talent. Really liked "Future Years".
Gregg Allman's son, huh?
Still obsessed with this. The guitar sound is so crushing. I think they recorded this at a ski resort in BC. Insane lore with this band.

Fun adventures at the local grocery store with aging, snowbird boomers who have zero spatial recognition or sense of anyone in the aisles besides themselves + their erratically maneuvered carts.
