I watched a friend go from $200K/month to $10M/year because of one conversation over beers. He had a unique product in Australia pulling 10x ROAS. Completely unique angle - think exciting Shark Tank product you've never seen before. Printing money, expanding fast, crushing it. But he was risk-averse, and didn't want to leave Australia. We're sitting there and I tell him: "You need to launch in the US. It will be crazy." He pushes back. "I just want to keep growing here, this is already life-changing money for me." So I made him an offer: "I'll personally pay $50K for the container that lands in the US if you can't sell it. I'll buy it and guarantee I can sell it." I gave him a guarantee that I'd cover any costs because I knew it would work. He launched in the US. Now he'll do $10M+ in his first year. I wouldn't be surprised if he hits 9-figures in the US while Australia fatigues due to TAM limits. I tell every single founder this one piece of advice now. If you have a unique product and there's nothing significantly different about how that demographic consumes it - US, Australia, Canada, UK all behave very similarly. Expand QUICKLY while you have a first-mover advantage. So many founders are stuck at their own conviction level just like him. He couldn't see what was possible because he hadn't walked that path. I had, so my degree of conviction changed his degree of conviction.
