Hi dynasty friends! We have 2 spots open in a dynasty league I'm in. You'd be in a dispersal draft with one other owner picking between the attached pool of players and picks. Shoot me a DM if you're interested! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

D’Andre Swift was plagued by injuries in Detroit, but flashed his high end talent with the few opportunities he received. D’Andre Swift then received volume in Philly, and demonstrated he was that all-around stud we thought he was, but had TDs vultured by the Tush Push.

Glad you asked! JJ McCarthy's attempts by quarter: 1st: 183 2nd: 224 3rd: 156 4th: 91 Only 38% of attempts in the 2nd half, 14% in the 4th quarter. Oh, so they must not have trusted him to throw in the fourth, that's why! - Career record: 28-1 - Halftime deficits: Two (15 points vs TCU, 3 points vs. Rutgers) - Average halftime lead: 11 points - Average 3rd quarter lead: 19 points In 2023: ZERO halftime deficits. Average halftime lead of 14 points including 8/15 games with 13+ point lead All of this while playing against arguably the hardest defensive schedule. But Zoltan, how do we know he can do it with the game on the line then? Well, the 4 times in his career he entered halftime/3rd quarter with a deficit: Rutgers, 2022: Trailed 17-14 at halftime, won 52-17 Illinois, 2022: Trailed 17-10 entering the 4th, won 19-17 Ohio State, 2022: Trailed THE (6th best school in the Big 10) 20-17 at halftime. Won 45-23. TCU, 2022 (Semifinal): Trailed 21-6 entering halftime; lost 51-45 (his only career loss after a furious comeback including FOUR SECOND HALF TOUCHDOWNS). He's the best passer in this class on 3rd down, especially 3rd and long. He's the best passer in this class against elite competition. It's not his fault he (and the team) were so good that he barely played in the fourth. Oh yeah, one more thing. The system he played in college is much closer to an NFL system than these carnival offenses at LSU, USC, UNC, Washington and Oregon. He wasn't able to drop back every snap and play in rythym. He took a backseat to the run game and defense when needed, because that's what good QBs do. There's a reason the NFL is taking him in the top 5 (or 3, or 2). Don't fade due to ridiculous volume stat concerns.

🚨JJ McCarthy Thread 2🚨 They say Michigan didn't trust JJ McCarthy. They say JJ McCarthy doesn't have the arm talent. They say JJ McCarthy isn't athletic enough. THEY ARE STUPID! Here's why:

🧵🚨WARNING🚨 🧵 This WR class outside the top 2 (or 3) is worse than you think, and there are major implications for the value of 2024 picks. Let's start off at a high level WR prospects since 2018 with a 80+ draft grade: 2024: 2 Yearly Average: 1.1 60+ draft grade: 2024: 4 Yearly Average: 3.9 40+ draft grade: 2024: 9 Yearly Average: 8.9 Top 3: Pretty Unassailable You can poke holes in Marvin Harrison's YAC/MTF stats, Rome Odunze's late(r) production, and Malik Nabers' well... nothing... But either way, these three are elite prospects. The rest of the class? There are some concerns... The Next 2: Analytics Darlings - Xavier Worthy: Best freshman season in the class (by 2x) at 18.3 years old, 22nd in my model since 2018 - Troy Franklin: 32nd since 2018 with elite Y2 and Y3 production; elite vs. single-man (5.5 YPRR) Issues for both is weight, but clear analytics WR4/5 in the class The Flawed Next Tier: - Brian Thomas Jr: One year of (mediocre) production - Adonai Mitchell: 1.72 career-high YPRR 🤮 - Keon Coleman: 1.87 career YPRR, 26% of targets were contested - Ladd McConkey: Career-high of 58/762/7 - Roman Wilson: Didn't pass 800 yards in 4 years The Even More Flawed Tier After That: - Xavier Legette: Career-high of 1.12 Y/RR until his 5th season - Ricky Pearsall: 24 year-old draft age - Jacob Cowing: 24 year-old draft age - Devontez Walker: 17 ADOT + 4 YAC/Rec = Wind sprinter - Malachi Corley: 6 ADOT, 26% CTC, 8 YAC/Rec at a small school is likely unrepeatable in NFL - Javon Baker: Middling production until Y3; couldn't cut it at Alabama (though he is intriguing) - Jermaine Burton: Never passed 800 yards in 4 years So What Does This Mean? This isn't to say this is a bad WR draft class. Rather that it's average outside the top 3. Players like Brian Thomas and Adonai Mitchell will go early in the NFL draft, and have undeniable upside (more BTJ than AD)... but there are major flaws as well. Given the weakness of this year's RB class, and lack of depth after Bowers at TE... I'm going to be moving a lot of my non-top 8 picks for proven veteran talent, or future draft picks. Based on current values, you could move a late 1st for guys like Jordan Addison, Tee Higgins, Kyle Pitts, Bryce Young or Kenneth Walker. You could add a bit (mid 2nd?) to upgrade to a Tank Dell, Mark Andrews, Drake London or Devon Achane. And these picks are only going to increase in value when 7+ WRs go in the first round! So guys like McConkey, Mitchell or Coleman will fall to the ~2.04 spots; especially if Penix and Nix go in the top 40. Then, your early 2nds could be traded for guys like Deebo Samuel, George Pickens, Tyjae Spears or Bryce Young. So, it's time to start shopping your picks. No rush, you have 2+ months before the values start to level out. But don't fall into the hype trap with this good, not great, WR class.

60+ receptions / 600+ receiving yards from a rookie WR is a SUCCESSFUL rookie year. To do that with established, high-end veterans (Metcalf/Lockett) and struggling QBs (Geno/Lock) is IMPRESSIVE. JSN isn’t the shiny new toy, but he certainly remains a high-end prospect!
