@CaleClarke @Pontifex I honestly don’t much care for the idea of captalizing on the Pope. The White Sox and Chicago seem to have this idea that the Pope wants to be idolized or something. I don’t understand it. Some of these US officials, dignitaries, etc. seem to think he wants commemorative gifts.

Just learned about the beautiful personal library of a German mining engineer called Bruno Schröder. His entire house was covered in custom shelves he built himself, housing his life’s work – a 70,000 book collection. Bruno died in 2022 at 88, while in the midst of digitally cataloguing his massive collection. Sadly, he had no relatives and the house, including the books, was handed to an estate manager and put up for sale. That’s when his story and these photos surfaced.

@capnjclaw @DOATEC_OFFICIAL It’s more than likely due to the licensing issues. SNK got bought out by Saudi Arabia’s Misk Foundation in 2022. They would have had to establish a new licensing contract regardless, but it also likely makes it more difficult to deal with a new owner. I doubt it’s just laziness.

@dveese I’ve seen this one pop up a few times and I’m always disappointed when I see it. The collage in the background looks great, but it hurts the figure more than it helps, since it shows how much better she looks in the original art than the figure. Oof.

Good idea but needed better art direction/execution by Beast Kingdom. Love the wink but leap needs to be more dramatic with left arm punching higher in air. Hair sculpting a little flat. And of course always odd to see a pole up any character sculpture’s butt.
