Just coming down from an inspiring press event yesterday with @NCDNCR's Secretary Reid Wilson. April Smith of InSitu Explorers challenged residents and visitors to NC to "find their adventure during the year of the trail on the North Carolina Science Trail." We hope you do.

8 years of waiting ended yesterday as we successfully moved the 14,000kg #DuelingDinosaurs fossils into our new paleontology lab @NaturalSciences! Sweating, pacing, a few gasps, and many celebratory high-fives were had by all. Welcome home dinos, welcome home.

I am a little late posting this, but I am so excited that Connected By Water will be showing that the 1st Outer Banks Environmental Film Festival! The film will be showing at 10:00 am on Saturday the 4th and would love to invite anyone who can attend.

This was a nice change of scenery for @David_LeimanMD and Dr. Karen Chachu during @lifeandscience community day where they worked with children on the Science of Burps, and helped with the Teddy Bear Hospital program with @Duke_Childrens and @duke_gi_ Dr. Nancy McGreal.

Over the past yr, intern & NC State vet school student, Meghan Chung, worked on a project to improve spider care by using an ophthalmology tool that measures human eye pressure to record abdominal pressure in tarantulas. Her study is being submitted for peer-reviewed publication!
