So here's a fun little nugget of info. I like looking back at old WotC chat reports for the Pokémon TCG from back in the day. Apparently Neo Genesis Slowking's mistranslation wasn't a mistranslation but rather an intentional change! The change to it actually BROKE the game.

After watching the Gen 10 announcement I got the urge to play Pokémon again.
So I decided to replay my own fangame: Pokémon Gadir Deluxe. 22 hours later… I finished the run with a completely different team than usual.
Honestly? I had way more fun than expected replaying my own game.

The powercreep of IDs is getting so bad that, at this point, Status effects are becoming negligible. Teams like the Heishou are so strong that the statuses becomes a secondary objective rather than the point of it and thats horrid, it's taking away their identity.
