📣NEWS!! Cafcass have finally admitted that they've been getting it wrong about domestic abuse. Cafcass Chief Executive, Jacky Tiotto said: "I am sorry that some four years on from the Harm Panel report, there are still children and adults in family court proceedings who do not receive the protection they deserve and require." "No child or adult should have to live with or worry about the prospect of spending time with another adult who threatens, controls, abuses, and harms them. Sadly, many abusive adults apply to the family court to spend time or to live with their children despite causing them harm and being a risk of further harm to them in the future." NEW POLICY INTRODUCED! 👇👇👇 cafcass.gov.uk/cafcass-publis…

Northern Ireland per head of population is one of the most dangerous places in Europe to be a woman. Four women have been murdered by men in six weeks. Mary Ward is the latest victim. The 24th woman to be killed in Northern Ireland since January 2020. Her body was found in her home in south Belfast on 1 October, but police believe she was killed on 25 September. This is horrific. I talked about the increasing femicide rate when I was in Northern Iteland in April. These murders do not come out the blue. There’s always a history which means they can potentially be prevented. Men are the ones who can stop it, it’s men who are killing women. Article: rte.ie/news/analysis-… #CrimeAnalyst #NorthernIreland #Femicide #MaryWard #PreventMurderInSlowMotion™️ #MaleViolence

Just watched @Channel4News story on suspicious domestic abuse deaths that are ruled too quickly to be suicides. We have been researching these deaths for over a decade and it's a much bigger problem than people realise. Police, coroners, paramedics, pathologists, A&E medics, and CPS need to up-skill urgently. Research from Hope Alliance below:
