Ok so xbox helix hmmmmm how would I build it. Well I would rip the screen off a high mid range laptop (AMD, cpu,gpu), make it fit a nice case. Add new external accessories, like mouse, full keyboard, disc drive, external GPU drives for cheap future upgrades.

I would use the laptop base, simply because the monitor or keyboard and mouse devices are not required w I think a controller. Lowering the required components to build making the console affordable.

An external disc drive, being that it is external would be important to drop the cost of the console, while continuing some disc support as an option.

Having the keyboard and mouse as an accessory means you could bring more people in to the Microsoft world and windows. You also would be giving everyone who bought it a Home PC

The ability to offer external GPU as a potential upgrade later is HUGE upgrade potential path, that would allow for even better graphics

And there it is the real reason and the tough truth as to how game pass has eaten away Xbox. The day 1 drops of new games. Killing day 1 releases will obviously be bad press. But I do believe that is the primary cause of the problem for game pass.
