We are continuing to celebrate women leading change in SF’s homelessness response system for #WomensHistoryMonth.

We mourn the loss of Banko Brown, who was murdered on April 27 2023. Banko Brown’s life emphasized that we at OTI need to continue to advocate for, and work with relevant City departments, towards greater safety, dignity, and housing stability for (TGNCI) people in San Francisco.

Tanesh Nutall, who passed away earlier this year, is cherished by her community, and was a steadfast activist supporting other trans community members in San Francisco. Please join us in celebrating the life of Tanesh Nutall on this #TransgenderDayofRemembrance. #tdor

This Trans Day of Remembrance, we honor and celebrate the life of Nico Twiggs who passed away earlier this year. Nico will continue to live on in all of us, his legacy will be celebrated as colorful & vibrant as the trans community he was a part of. #TransDayOfRemembrance #tdor

We honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Lisseth Sánchez who passed away earlier this year. Lisseth was a community activist, tirelessly fighting for those of us who are most vulnerable and marginalized within the trans community. #tdor #transdayofremembrance

As we approach #tdor2023, we want to draw attention to the high rates of violence towards transgender people. This is likely exacerbated especially now due to the rise of anti-trans legislations, rhetoric, and media barrage.

Ivory Smith passed away earlier this year, and was a trailblazing activist. Her work lives on in a continued legacy of trans activism in San Francisco. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Ivory Smith on this #transdayofremembrance #tdor2023

I am so proud of how this city continues to lead in supporting and celebrating our LGBTQ community. This week is a good example of our work. Yesterday, San Francisco launched GIFT: a new guaranteed income program for trans individuals.

Now is a moment where many people will be erasing the vast experiences that trans people have while seeking abortion care. The deliberate decision to remove trans people results in a incomplete story about what this SCOTUS decision criminalizing abortion means. #DobbsvJackson

Thrilled to welcome Khilynn Fowler as our new Manager of Community Engagement!! Khilynn comes to us with a wealth of experience working with trans and LGBTQ+ communities. In this role, she will be supporting our Trans Advisory Committee & engaging TGNC residents!!
