I fully agree that Burke is in prison for violating a court order. However, I think it’s important to acknowledge the root of the case. The court order arose because Burke refused to comply with his suspension. The suspension was the direct result of Burke’s objection, and his manner of objection, to compelled use of they/them pronouns for a singular male student.

For all the talk, I would say Irish people had more fun decades ago than today when lots of people stay in and stay online and rarely meet. My parents' generation, for example, met in pubs, went to horse races, joined things, dropped into each other's houses unannounced, played cards in each other's houses, went to dances, to the movies etc, etc, etc and generally socialised a lot.
