Southend United are interested in signing striker Tom Cursons from National League rivals Boston United. The former Walton & Hersham striker scored nine in 17 at the back end of the season for the Pilgrims after joining from then League Two side Harrogate Town. Newport County forward Lewis Jamieson is set to leave the club despite signing an 18 month contract in January. Southend United are in talks to sign winger Sahid Kamara after impressing on trial so far. The Baller League star came through the academy at Charlton Athletic before spending last season at Braintree Town where he played in 35 National League games for the Iron, scoring twice. Exeter City appear to be leading the race to sign Torquay United talisman Jordan Young for an undisclosed fee. Young got 27 G/A in 40 National League South games for the Gulls last season and has been subject of interest by a number of League One, League Two and National League sides.
