We strongly condemn the prison sentences imposed on journalists Leevan and Shahzan of Adhadhu news and call for their immediate release. Not being given adequate opportunity to access legal counsel raises serious concerns regarding due process and constitutional protections.

We reaffirm our commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of migrant workers, and to continuing collaborative efforts that promote safe, fair, and inclusive working and living conditions for all.

The camp provided free health check-ups, legal advice, and multilingual awareness materials on labour rights and wellbeing, ensuring information was accessible to workers from diverse backgrounds.
