@snaxeyyt @royalsclubhouse Estevez has been in the league more than 5 years, he doesn’t have any options left 🤦🏻♂️. The real question isn’t “why was he brought in”, it’s why did he break camp with the team. He needs to go on the IL and that’s a JJ problem, not a Q problem.

You shouldn't overreact to one game, but this isn't one game. This is an entire spring. He has nothing. He shouldn't be pitching in close games, let alone closing, until that changes.

@royalsminors I mean is this really even on Q? Estevez shouldn’t even be on the roster at this point. Q could have thrown him out there in the 7th inning and the results would have been similar.

It’s only game two. But seems to be a tad on the bullpen mismanagement side early on to use your clearly not-right veteran in a 9th inning save situation. Hindsight 20-20 except the issues with Estevez have been there for weeks now.

I’m going to say this once and only once. It’s the first game, sure. But I’m not doing the “it’s April it’s May” bullshit. We watched this offense do this for 162 games last year. We can’t wait till July to just “expect it to turn around”. If it’s this on April 30th we just suck
