Hi everyone! I have officially been able to rebrand now that I have my new truesona and artwork associated with them! My former username was WildWestIcarus, but now please refer to me as Hyperion or Hype instead! I still use they/them pronouns and everything! Still same old me :3

If you tell neurodivergent people they need to "get comfortable with being uncomfortable" I am putting gravel in your shoes. No you can't take the gravel out. You have to deal with it. Dealing with it makes you a better person. What do you mean "pointless suffering".

My first job was for an animal shelter btw for anyone curious. This one had no outdoor runs so all dogs had to be walked through the shelter to the outdoors. We had numerous dogs with bite records. The founder 100% is laundering money. I wouldn't trust ANY to work at by now

To all the people recommending working with animals or shelters, find the most reputable one you can. Even then, it'll probably be shit. Bad pay. Usually tons of cleaning. Entry level workers and volunteers are not treated well. Everyone has strong personalities too + catty af

Also, I wish I had something to suggest as a career/job path for op. I haven't found a job that did not make me want to unsubscribe from life permanently and I have been through 6 different jobs across different industries in 4 years. Being unemployed is just as rough too though

@sheltielands @thintechgodhead As someone who is mentally ill, loves animals, and worked for an animal shelter: NOT A GOOD IDEA Follow up: vets office are not good either, no matter the position I have too many bad things to say and horror stories about specifically shelter work, it's not worth the suffering

@thintechgodhead look into working at animal shelters! animals, at least for me, can be really therapeutic. plus depending on what kinda position youre working at, it can be a pretty manageable amount of social interaction without completely isolating you like some more independent positions
