Speaker Johnson must immediately reconvene the House to vote on a war powers resolution. It’s beyond clear we are at war. The Speaker's legacy will be that he made Congress so irrelevant that a president can threaten to wipe out a civilization while Congress is on vacation.

Lindsey Graham wants the peace deal to go to the Senate, but not a vote on war.
He refers back to a Senate vote on the Iran nuclear deal.
Except he's being misleading bordering on lying. The Senate voted on a "disapproval resolution," which means that supporters of the deal only needed 41 votes for the JCPOA to go through. They got 42.
There are 47 Democrats, so should be plenty to block a similar vote now.

Like everyone, I hope we can end the reign of terror of the Iranian regime through diplomacy. We must remember that the Strait of Hormuz was attacked by Iran after the start of the war, destroying freedom of navigation. Going forward, it is imperative Iran is not rewarded for this hostile act against the world. As to an Iranian ten point proposal to end the war, I look forward to reviewing it at the appropriate time and its submission to Congress for a vote, like we did with the Obama JCPOA. I want to reaffirm that from my point of view, every ounce of the approximately 900 lbs. of highly enriched uranium has to be controlled by the U.S. and removed from Iran to prevent them in the future from having a dirty bomb or returning to the enrichment business - the Libyan model, for lack of a better phrase. Time will tell.

Israel was not updated until the ceasefire was on the verge of being signed. They were not part of the agreement process. It shows a serious, and justified, lack of trust that Israel would try to sabotage the talks.
