When you feel your mental health is going bad again, try random things. Clean your room, take a walk with no destination, enjoy your favorite ice cream flavor or just ghost everyone. Sometimes, the smallest things can help you feel like yourself again.

I was in high school. Everyone thought I was fine. Cheerleader, honors student, had a job, etc. I tried to take my own life, failed, and went on like nothing happened. I told one person. I was also SEVERELY harming myself. Pay attention to your loved ones.

I don’t think people realise how many “functioning” suicidal people they’ve met, people still go to work, still joke, still pay bills. The human mind is capable of hiding extraordinary pain.

@BasedPsychMD I was on them for 22 years, max dosage. Stopped cold turkey last year, dangerous ik. Effexor, the. Paxil(the worst), then Lexapro. Bad withdrawals, followed by 6 months of constant mania. Dropped 50 pounds first 5 months off. Still dealing with brain fog, numbness in extremities.

@DreamsofDancing @BasedPsychMD Omg this scares me. I have omeprazole and keep it when my stomach really hurts but I’m terrified to use it regularly

There is a man named Juan Naula who immigrated from Ecuador and now spends his days cleaning the streets of Los Angeles
He has no city contract’s or deals with California. He believes the city isn’t going a good job of keeping trash off the streets, so he’s doing it himself
These are the kind of immigrants we want in America. Hardworking that see the value in our country and have American pride. They want to make our country better

RICKY GERVAIS USES HIS OWN HARD-EARNED MONEY TO RESCUE THE FINAL BEARS FROM CRUEL BILE FARMS
Comedian Ricky Gervais has donated $200,000 from the profits of his Mortality tour to Animals Asia. This generous gift will directly help rescue and rehabilitate the last one hundred fifty bears still trapped in tiny cages on the remaining bile farms in Vietnam. These animals have suffered years of painful bile extraction in conditions that no creature should ever endure. It is inspiring to see private philanthropy and personal success making a real difference by fighting this barbaric practice through action rather than empty talk.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating Chrissy, a 14 yr old giraffe, who gave birth yesterday to a healthy female calf after a quick 27-minute active labor.
The drop is natural & helps sever the umbilical cord & stimulate the calf's first breath.

Back in 2021, I met a lady who told me about this app where blind people could video call volunteers whenever they needed help with something.
Out of curiosity, I downloaded it and signed up.
I still remember how surreal it felt the first time I got a call. Someone was simply trying to decide what to wear and needed me to tell them if the colors matched. Another person needed help checking something on their TV screen.
And there I was, in my room in Nigeria, helping complete strangers from different parts of the world through a random video call.
It wasn’t paid or anything. It was just volunteering.
But I remember being so fascinated by the idea that technology could connect people in such a deeply human way. For a few minutes, you literally became someone else’s eyes.
Till today, that remains one of the most beautiful things I’ve experienced online.
