yeah the us law is fucking stupid. i didn’t break it but this post is the only one that ironically acknowledges the comical us restrictions on what us citizens are allowed to do in cuba. the “5 star hotel” is one of the few hotels the us gov allows americans to legally stay in.

The reason there’s trash in Havana is bc there’s an oil blockade and Cuba has to prioritize hospitals for fuel over trash collection.

🚨BREAKING: Hasan Piker admits that while on a “humanitarian” trip in Cuba, he and his comrades are living “la vida loca.”
Piker, who presents himself as trying to help Cubans, is making thousands of dollars from streaming from his 5-star hotel room and doing off-stream interviews for his YouTube channel, while also going out in Havana with Kneecap, drinking at local bars, and giving money to Cubans he encounters.
So far, it doesn’t appear Piker is doing much “socialism” work. Instead, he seems to be redistributing the money he’s made through capitalism.

@pslnational These farms are either owned or heavily regulated by the Cuban government. If a local farmer does own it, the government will make sure he does slaughter or harvest anything he grows until the dictator wants it. Even, if the farmer and his family is starving.
