The weekly Drought Monitor report came out yesterday so we are a little late posting it. Things continue to worsen here and across most of South Texas. Almost all of our county now in Extreme drought. No rain currently on the horizon unfortunately.

Forecast for today: Red Flag Warning continues for today until 8 PM. Much cooler today than yesterday with a cold night ahead. Might touch freezing in some areas around the county tonight.

A cold front will bring strong winds and falling temperatures tonight. North winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 to 55 mph are expected. By early morning, temperatures will fall to the mid 30s across the Hill Country, and to the lower to mid 40s elsewhere.
