@Elrond0021 @WallStreetMav I can't speak for the original poster...but as for me, no, I don't want any Social Safety Net at all, at least none that come from government (allow churches & private charity to engage in those endeavors, of course). Our nation's moral decline can be traced back to the New Deal

E. Jean Carroll said she could not remember the day, month, or year that this "rape" occurred. The reason she could not be pinned down to a date during depositions was because President Trump had his business calendars which showed where he was every hour of every day for decades. If Carroll had stated a date, then President Trump could produce the records that showed he was at another location, state, country on that date. Carroll's inability to remember is a disturbing fact and indicative that her entire claim is fraudulent. No one forgets the day they are raped. They spend their life trying to forget it. If they are lucky the anniversary will pass without them remembering, but they will note later that their ability to let the day pass without a triggering event is a sign of healing. If pressed to remember, especially under a deposition environment, the victim will remember the year, month, and date. They will even remember the time, clothing they were wearing (that was in existence at that time) and a million other little details.

There are many, many, MANY highly educated black Americans who are exceptionally competent and extraordinarily skilled in their chosen professions. However, affirmative action causes people who do not know them well to question whether or not they earned what they have. Given the prevalence of affirmative action in our society, this is actually a fair question. However, that question is incredibly hurtful to those who HAVE earned it, and the whole system is toxic to society. The harm affirmative action causes black professionals is one of the least recognized aspects of the debate.

People don't like to hear it ..but women actually *gave up* a great deal of their societal power through the sexual revolution. As Rush Limbaugh used to say, "Feminism was created to give ugly women access to society"!

The sexual revolution was marketed as liberation for women, but in practice, it liberated men from every obligation they used to have toward women. Before the sexual revolution, a man who wanted access to a woman had to offer marriage. He had to commit, provide, and prove himself worthy. Sex was reserved for the marriage bed, and this gave women enormous leverage in selecting the best possible husband. The sexual revolution removed all that. Women were told casual sex was empowering. And men were happy, they could get everything they wanted without offering anything in return. Fifty years later, women are more sexually available than ever and lonelier than ever. They gave away their only bargaining chip and got nothing except heartbreak and men who see no reason to commit. The revolution wasn't for women. It was for men.
