Referee Cody Beach is out of control tonight... just grabbed Porter Martone by the back of the jersey and yelled in his face. Martone was interfered with at the Red Wing blue line and was just asking why there wasnt a call. #LetsGoFlyers

@_katecarr Kate reaffirming what all sports fans know - Philly fans are the worst. Essentially advocating for violence against a ref who wouldn’t allow a 19 year old to chirp him like a bitch.

It’s actually insane behavior doing this in Philly of all cities. Within 20 minutes I learned his name, teams he’d played for just from scrolling the tl. If the league is smart this man does NOT touch the ice for any Flyers game. They’re not. So prepare yourself.

@leafsburner1 @Flyers_Clips Not taking away from his talent at all. He looked fantastic. But Beach is also at the upper echelon of his profession. It’s like comparing a very successful lawyer to a very successful teacher. Is one really better than the other? I don’t think so.

@boobiemyles101 Refs are part of the game, they are human, and they are typically pretty sensitive when it comes to calls. It’s idiotic to think that they’d be receptive to a kid who was playing college hockey last week going at them

Mistakenly recorded the Flyers feed on NHL Center ice instead of the #LGRW feed and was treated to 60+ minutes of @JimJPhilly and @BrianBoucher33 complaining about the officiating. Just nauseating really. And for the record - that no goal being overturned was the right call.
