While I was in Israel late last year, I got to visit with some messianic Jewish congregations. These are worshippers who believe in Yeshua—Jesus—as the Jewish messiah. Here is my report. wng.org/podcasts/a-fai…

The ducklings finally hatched. Right when I needed a devotional illustration for the upcoming “Mother’s Day” edition of my WORLD newsletter. Thank you, Lord.

BREAKING: The FDA issued priority vouchers today to research three psychedelics used for depression and PTSD. @DrMakaryFDA tells me "They are expected to read out and turn into an application that should come to the FDA within a matter of months."

That moment when you break character and wave goodbye to the audience, knowing that your character is about to be killed off in the next episode. (See @TheDeniseCrosby as Tasha Yar waving goodbye over Patrick Stewart's shoulder in the last scene she shot as main TNG cast.)

Steven Colbert is supposed to write yet ANOTHER Lord of the Rings film that takes place during "The Fellowship of the Ring." My head hurts.

The attacks today are getting really dumb. Yes, people are free to reach out to me and I will always protect their anonymity. But I will not run a story quoting ONLY anonymous sources. For example, sources who wish to remain anonymous will often send me hard records about what is happening in their institutions that I am able to then report—to show the documentation, the receipts as the kids say. And often, I can then use that documentation to speak to other sources who will give me comments on the record. That is a very different thing than critiquing reporting that is based on nothing BUT anonymous quotations. To give an example, several professors at Biola reached out to me about what was going on at the school, particularly at the Rosemead counseling center. There, the former head of the center had declared herself an LGBTQ ally and was filing amicus briefs in Supreme Court cases that were in support of bans on the ability of Christian counselors to speak biblical truth to their clients. Now these sources had to be anonymous in order to protect their employment. But my reporting did not rely on anonymous quotes from them. I used the hard documentation and records they gave me, and was then able to go and get sourced quotes from Biola’s administration and experts on the topic. So what we have here is a gentleman who is simply ignorant on how reporting works.

The new Stephen Colbert "Lord of the Rings" film will never happen. It can't possibly happen, given the OVERWHELMING level of fan backlash in the few hours since it was first announced.

My colleague, Paul Butler, on four books that influenced his life. I can tell you "Storyworthy," by Matthew Dicks. It's WELL WORTH the read. (HINT: The main story of "Jurassic Park" has nothing to do with dinosaurs...) wng.org/articles/telli…
