I was at Costco today, and this lady and I were looking at steaks. She says “I love ribeyes but the cost has increased too much”… honestly I feel the same. I buy “steaks” in bulk, cut them up, freeze them. I get more out of it. But it’s insane, the price of beef is getting unaffordable. Everything is unaffordable.

Assuming no major upsets (never a safe assumption in international hockey), the 2nd seed overall is likely on a path to meet Sweden in the quarters. So the battle between 🇨🇦 and 🇺🇸 for the top seed gets a little more intriguing. Would come down to goal differential. 🇨🇦 +9 after 2 games, with France left . 🇺🇸 +4 after 1, with Denmark and Germany left.

Took the wife and kids for our monthly Costco run. The price of steak is insane. $61.99/kg for a mechanically tenderized thin cut boneless rib steak. In Alberta. Something is broken. Thanks to the Liberals, inflation is now a feature of Canada, not the exception. As the Canadian dollar (and state) weakens, prices will progressively get worse.
