@VanishedOmens Rangers was OK. Never played past the first game. I hated that I couldn't keep the pokemon I caught. I loved mystery dungeon, though. It's easily the best spin-off series in Pokemon.

Gen 3 objectively kicked off the best broad range of spin offs the series ever did. Sadly Ranger didn’t make it beyond Gen 4 tho.

Highkey wish more devs would do the 2D & 3D playthrough modes in more #JRPGs like #DragonQuest XI did.
I mean. It takes more time…but it’s such a great feature & gives great replayability to see the adventure in different lights.

Playing Fire Red for the first time. Ngl, I miss 2D pokemon games. The series really lost a lot of its charm when it moved to 3D. At the time B/W released I didn't enjoy it as much, but lately I want to go back to it. Maybe after FR/LG.

The battery in this thing is incredible. You could leave it down for almost a year and pick it up again, and it still has life. 3DS was imo, the best era of Nintendo.

@_GamingShell I feel the same way. Though I think if Pokemon went back to the Mystery Dungeon series and fleshed it out more, using Red and Blue as a base. I reckon they could cycle through both that and the main series to keep things fresh. Legends seemed promising but was a let down.

@Traxtal I agree I love pokemon and have played both since I was a kid in the 90s. The difference is Pokemon is stagment and i honestly am tired of it. Yet Digimon always changes it up and is more mature. Was survive different yes but the story was amazing and that what matters

The differences were always visible for those willing to give both series a chance. I do get that Digimon has been the least consistent in terms of gameplay, but I'd still say the games were better than Pokémon.
