Didn’t really want to post it on here but kino’s been in our lives for the past 11 years. Unfortunately he passed away peacefully last Friday. He had end stage lymphoma and breathing was getting hard. He had a big steak (ate it all), a chunk till the very end. We miss him dearly

I miss the days when devs made the games with a vision. Sure, they were flawed in their own ways too but at least they were each uniquely flawed. Now we just seem to get the same games year after year all developed by committee rather than an individuals vision for a project.

In Georgia I entered a Chick-fil-A drive-thru line of forty cars. I turned off my engine. I prepared to wait the way my ancestors waited out a siege. Six minutes later I was holding chicken. I do not know what happened to the other thirty-nine cars. The line moved like water that had somewhere to be. A young woman walked between the cars taking orders on a small tablet, on foot, in the sun, smiling like the sun was her idea. I said thank you. She said, "My pleasure." I did not think about it then. I should have. At the window I thanked the young man for the food. "My pleasure." I thanked him for the sauce. "My pleasure." I thanked him for thanking me— "My pleasure." I want to be clear about what was happening. This was a duel. In Japan I trained in courtesy for forty years. Bowing angles. Seasonal greetings. The correct depth of apology for seventeen distinct situations. I was a white belt in that drive-thru. I escalated. I used my most formal English. I thanked him on behalf of my entire family line. He said, "My pleasure," and gave me extra sauce. Extra sauce. Unprovoked. A counterattack. I returned the next day to reclaim my honor. It was Sunday. The restaurant was closed. All of them were closed. In the entire country. They close every Sunday, and they have closed every Sunday since the beginning, because the founder made a promise, and the promise did not expire when he did. I stood in the empty parking lot and understood I had lost twice. Once to a teenager with sauce. Once to a man I will never meet, who kept his word so long it became a building. In my country we say a samurai's word is his life. I had never seen a restaurant say it back. I returned Monday. I ordered. And this time I said it first, before she could. "My pleasure." She smiled and said, "It sure is." America, I surrender. It was my pleasure.

@RandyPopPez I wouldn't want physical media to replace digital. But neither do I want digital replacing physical. While the latter has effectively already occurred, I think what people don't like is someone else holding the keys. How do you get your digital content when a co pulls servers?

Now we just gotta get Nintendo to drop the physical games. Digital is the future. Hanging on to it isn’t gonna win. Cars don’t all come with cd players anymore. The dvd section at Walmart is 1/5 of the size it used to be. Evolve! Nobody is crying that the horse and buggy was killed off. I can’t tell you the last time I wrote a check. Evolve! Collect old games and be happy about the past, I don’t even go to the movies anymore, I’d rather stream it for less money and in the comfort of my own home. People crying over PlayStation are making me giggle. 😮‍💨🤣🤣

@ScarletAmi The problem is that the parents dropping their kids off at these places have done nothing to socialize them. So it's left to the clerks to do the parenting that the parents refuse to do. Kids need consequences. Otherwise they grow up believing that nothing they do matters.

God, I used to work in an arcade in a mall and the amount of time someone tried to offload there children under 10 on us so they can shop without them was absolutely insane. I do not miss that employment.

When I was in highschool we used to use technology to effectively steal anything we wanted. Games, movies, music. Now it's the companies and gov that use it to steal from us. Ironic, really.

I’ve been trying to put into words how I’ve been feeling about my content and growth lately. For the last 3 years, I’ve spent most of my time streaming on @kick. That time brought me some incredible opportunities and experiences I never thought possible. Last year alone, I was one of the "winners" of From Pitch to Spotlight, got my own hour-long show at DreamHack Atlanta, reached Partner status, and built friendships with many amazing creators. But with every blessing comes a tradeoff. For almost 3 years, I made Kick my home. Every year I kept having the same thought. “I should be on Twitch.” Why? Because even though the numbers on paper make sense, 95% sub revenue, partner pay, and ad free viewing. I’ve realized something important. The audience fit matters more. Kick is fantastic for some creators, especially IRL streamers, but for someone running an interactive cartoon VTuber show, the audience just hasn’t fully been there for me. This isn’t me leaving on bad terms. This is me realizing I’ve spent years pushing content on a platform that may not be designed for what I do best. And while I absolutely believe creators need to put in the work to grow, which I have consistently done, it’s felt like the harvest has been getting thinner over time. So what’s the solution? I pivot. I’m going to give @Twitch a genuine shot and focus my regular live shows there alongside Youtube. And before people ask, “Why not just multistream to all of them?” Because I know my audience. Most viewers will naturally stay on Kick because there are no ads and because that’s where the community is used to chatting. Even if people open the Twitch stream, an empty chat kills the energy. Nobody wants to watch a stream with a dead chatroom. I want to be clear: I’m not abandoning Kick. I’ll still stream there and keep it in my rotation. (Hot Tub streams, Saturday Morning Cartoons, and Reactions will still be on kick) But sometimes you have to leave home for a while to figure out where you truly belong. Some people might call it foolish. I call it doing what’s best for my creativity, wellbeing, and sanity. Follow me on twitch and come by my streams. Help me hit partner status over there and prove it was a decision that needed to be made. God bless you all.

@LowVoltage21392 @IGN I have over 200 hours and the game is booty cheeks. There's literally nothing beyond it's aesthetic that makes it unique in the gaming space. And even that was stolen. ABI and Delta Force are both F2P and offer more in terms of depth and gameplay. Bungie dropped the ball.
