@corrinemalcolm Looks like one guy got him by 2 seconds. Still moved up a ton. 100k would’ve been interesting but curious to see how the Achilles holds up.
@TreelineJ He actually moved up as high as 7th only to loose a few spots in the last 10km. The front 4 guys were moving with Robbie pulling away steadily in the second half.
Pretty solid finish for Anton. 9th overall at Ultra Trail Cape Town 55k. Makes sense he ran out of real estate. Few more Ks and he’d have been in the mix!
@ovegarod@wser@tcccostarica Would love to get down there. Working in Turrialba so I really only have the weekends. Hopefully will make a trek down that way soon!
@TreelineJ@wser Oh that’s cool! Not as humid as hot as other places. I’m in Central Valley, we have awesome trails there too. South part of the country is where the @tcccostarica takes place, make sure to go for a run if you go down there
The best time to run in Costa Rica is in the afternoons, when the wind picks up and the storms threaten. This was a morning run, a run I tell myself is good for early @wser heat adaptation. In for the lottery. #sub20orbust One good run and I’m back on social media. 🤦♂️
@mathiaseichler I think the Rocky Mountain folks have a real advantage with weather, which I suppose is much of the field. I live in Oregon. We don’t get thunder/lightning storms much. Scares the shit out of me. Exposed on high elevation passes. Whew. 🙏
I so enjoyed being a guest on the Run Hard Mom Hard Podcast presented by @TreelineJ Nikki & Stef host this podcast as other moms who run ultras. Check out our super fun convo here: treelinejournal.com/episode-83-jen…
On the Run Hard Mom Hard Podcast, Nikki & Stef had on the great ✨Ladia Albertson-Junkans✨ to talk about Canyons 100k but ended up talking about being human, living life fully and holding space for all the paradoxes of life. Listen here: treelinejournal.com/episode-81-lad…
