It’s only been a fortnight, but it’s clear the bigger Senedd isn’t working. Things are so slow. Committees aren’t set up. We’re already on recess. There’s only been one limited opportunity to question ministers. I, like many others, was not called. I’ve tabled many, many written questions, one of the few opportunities we’ve had to scrutinise ministers. Answers are slow to come back. It was obvious this would happen. We don’t need a bigger Senedd. We need more focus. Scrap the Senedd’s 36 new members. Fund our NHS instead.

@AndrewRTDavies I’d probably pipe down if I snuck through in 6th place with a mere 12,000 votes

The public will be horrified by talk of a grace and favour residence for the First Minister. It’s an unjustifiable extravagance we do not need. Comparisons with the Prime Minister’s official residence are a false flag. The head of the British Government is not comparable to a leader in a devolved administration. Most public officials like council leaders don’t get an official residence. The same should apply to Rhun Ap Iorwerth.

Almost 400 migrants crossed the Channel on small boats on Friday. More than 200,000 migrants have crossed Channel in small boats since 2018. Only Reform UK would leave the ECHR, turn back the boats and deport those who enter illegally. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/2…

Rural Wales deserves clear answers. In the Senedd today, I challenged the new First Minister on the damaging pylon and turbine proposals, and the need to protect cross-border healthcare for people across Powys. These issues simply cannot be pushed aside. Watch our exchange below 👇🏻

Only 17.8% of Wales speaks Welsh. 82% of the nation doesn’t. Plaid won a good chunk of support from non-Welsh speakers desperate for change on NHS, housing, and economy. This will only alienate them. This is exclusionary.

@AndrewRTDavies Very strange political times indeed. In Wales I heard a crazy story where a bloke who got 12,000 out of 81,000 votes recently got elected to the senedd

Watching and reading the news over the last 24 hours and you could not help but think the Prime Minister has already “left”the building. We live in strange political times.

A new voting system meant the Welsh election couldn’t have been further from a two‑horse race – so why was it portrayed as one? Interesting article that certainly reflected my experience on the doorstep of people almost apologising for voting Plaid nation.cymru/feature/a-new-…

When Rhun ap Iorwerth becomes First Minister, he must not be allowed to blame Labour for any of his administration’s failings. Plaid were in coalition with Labour. They must own the current state of Wales.
