I really hope @DynamiteComics didn’t sign TOO long of a deal with @MTPPRODS for the Vampirella movie/TV rights. It would be nice if they could moved over to a real company that would actually, you know, do something with them.

@Variety Love the original x files, but won't watch the reboot. They change it so much its not a real reboot, its a basically a new show so they should just give it a different name.

Ryan Coogler’s "X-Files" pilot has cast Himesh Patel alongside previously announced star Danielle Deadwyler.
According to an individual with knowledge of the project, the two will play entirely new characters — not new versions of Fox Mulder or Dr. Dana Scully.

(Plus, I actually agree that holding Buffy to the end of the pilot was a dumb move, but there’s no indication she wouldn’t have been a major presence in the show itself)

The funny thing about this dumb opinion is that the show the current iteration of Trek is trying to get to is just a TOS prequel with Kirk (played by Paul Wesley) still very much in charge.
Also, of the four TNG/Berman-era Trek shows, only two were led by white men…

Alex Kurtzman’s grand plan for Star Trek is to completely reboot the original series and replace Captain Kirk. It’s all about removing white, masculine lead characters and replacing them with gay minorities. It’s really insidious.
