The world is desperate for more oil and natural gas. Canada has it. But thanks to years of NDP obstruction, we can't get it to where it needs to be. They killed Northern Gateway. They fought Trans Mountain every step of the way. And now, with a new pipeline on the table that reports say would immediately lift our GDP and create mortgage-paying jobs, the NDP government is calling it "fictional" and their Deputy Premier is even threatening to take it to court. The NDP have had every chance to make BC and Canada an energy superpower, but the NDP are holding us back. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

British Columbia is going broke under the NDP. Five credit downgrades in just four years and the NDP still won't change course. Bond rating agencies are giving this NDP budget the equivalent of an F. And BC families are the ones paying the price. A leading global credit rating agency is now forecasting BC's debt will hit $230 billion in just two years, with interest costs surging 68%. Money that should be going to roads, healthcare, and services for British Columbians now just goes to pay for interest on our debt. It's time for a new plan: one that gets spending under control and builds a province our kids can actually afford to live in. #bcpoli

Seven months. That's how long Richmond homeowners have been in limbo after a BC Supreme Court ruling left the future of their property rights uncertain. And the NDP has delivered nothing but more uncertainty. The Cowichan title ruling swept up around 150 private homeowners and businesses who were never named as defendants, never represented at trial, and had absolutely no say in a 513-day court proceeding. Their property rights were called into question overnight. Within days of the ruling, Attorney General Niki Sharma stood up and promised BC would appeal and seek a stay. Seven months later? The appeal hasn't even started. There is still no date set. There is no timeline. Richmond Mayor, Malcolm Brodie, said the issue is causing "great angst and stress" in the community. And for good reason. Legally, Aboriginal title over land is recognized as a “prior and senior right” to private ownership. The mayor is calling on the courts to fast-track proceedings. Meanwhile, value appraisers are already adding disclaimers to Richmond properties, some are saying values could drop 30–40% because of the unresolved title uncertainty. Families who have owned their homes for decades are watching their single biggest asset lose value in real time through no fault of their own. This is the NDP in a nutshell. They'll make a promise the day a crisis hits, then quietly disappear while the problem festers. They've had seven months to push for expedited court proceedings, to provide legislative clarity, to stand up for the private landowners caught in the crossfire of a case they had no part in. And they've done nothing. British Columbians deserve a government that protects property rights and doesn't leave families in limbo for years. The NDP isn't that government. #bcpoli theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…

British Columbia's economy is in freefall under the NDP. The province accounts for a quarter of all Canadian job losses in February alone, 20,200 positions gone in a single month. The NDP's promised housing revolution has collapsed into reality: construction shed 6,900 jobs in one month, real estate and finance lost another 5,400, and housing starts actually fell 3.6%. The government boasts 44,000 projected housing starts, but independent forecasters put the real number at 34,000, and even that figure may be generous. From forestry to mining to agriculture, every sector that forms the backbone of BC's economy has declined on the NDP's watch. The unemployment rate only looks stable because British Columbians are packing up and leaving. When your best jobs number is that fewer people are sticking around to look for work, you've already lost the argument. At a time when we should be building more, we’re losing the workers needed to do it. #bcpoli

You think the problem is long wait times? The real problem is worse. The BC government isn’t even measuring specialist waitlists. Those “10-month waits”? 👉 Just surveys of doctors. No real tracking. No real data. You can’t fix what you don’t measure. Right now, they’re not even trying.

Every child with neurodiverse needs should have support. The NDP have taken away essential funding that these kids rely on. It's cruel and it's unacceptable. Because of these cuts more than 10,000 children will receive less support. Half of them will receive nothing at all. That means losing access to critical therapies that families are already fighting to secure. Getting support was already difficult. Now it is even harder. The NDP is placing the burden of their fiscal mismanagement on the backs of vulnerable children and their families. We will not stop until this funding is restored. #bcpoli

A BC researcher spent decades researching addiction and homelessness treatment. When he presented his findings to BC government officials, they asked him to destroy it when it conflicted with their agenda. He testified to this under oath before a federal health committee. He also testified that two senior provincial government officials advocating for safe supply and decriminalization policies went on to start companies that profited from those very policies. The conflict of interest couldn't be more clear. For years we were told that the NDP's policies were evidence-based. But when the evidence doesn't support the ideology, they destroy the evidence. Five British Columbians are dying from drug overdose every single day. British Columbians deserve policies that are grounded in real evidence. Not ideology. It's time to change course
Claire Rattée@ClaireRattee

Explosive testimony out of Ottawa has shown that a B.C. researcher was directed by senior government officials to destroy decades of addiction research, after presenting findings that didn’t align with the NDP’s approach. This is deeply disturbing. For years, we’ve been told these policies were evidence-based. But what happens when the evidence doesn’t support the ideology? A decade into this crisis, we are still losing 5 people every single day. We cannot afford to keep getting this wrong. It’s time to change course: toward real recovery, treatment, and results.

The NDP is mortgaging our children's future. When families take out a mortgage, they understand: borrow today, pay it back tomorrow. The NDP has taken out a massive mortgage on this province. This year's budget runs a $13.3 billion deficit, the largest in BC history. British Columbians will pay $6.4 billion every year just in interest. Money that builds nothing. No hospitals. No roads. Just covers the cost of NDP borrowing. Real leadership means making decisions for the next generation, not just the next election. Conservatives will get spending under control, grow the private sector, and build an economy our children can actually thrive in. #bcpoli

"Don't defund me." This weekend, BC parents and their children gathered at the legislature to rally against the NDP's changes to individualized autism support funding. One mother there had her child's full funding pulled entirely. A family that previously qualified for substantial support now qualifies for none. Zero. And she is not alone. Over 10,000 children in BC will see their funding reduced, and half of them will lose it entirely. The cost of services is rising. The need hasn't gone away. But the government has decided that some children's support needs simply aren't severe enough to qualify. What this all misses is the nature of autism itself. This is a condition that deeply affects how children connect and communicate. These kids have spent years building trust with their therapists and support workers, relationships that are genuinely hard-won. Now they'll have to start over, losing ground they worked so hard to gain. Some parents worry their children won't want to return to therapy at all. And that's for the families who can still afford to access support. For many, without funding, therapy simply won't be an option at all. The NDP promised these families their funding would be protected. They broke that promise. These families are now being asked to pay the price for years of NDP fiscal mismanagement. That is simply not acceptable. I stand with these families. Their children deserve better. #bcpoli

Full time jobs lost. Young people leaving for opportunities elsewhere. Public sector growing at 10X the rate of the private sector. This is your economy on NDP.

British Columbians are being forced to pay for their own safety. Schools, synagogues, and small businesses are hiring private security because public safety has deteriorated. In B.C.’s Jewish community alone, security costs now exceed $100,000 every month just to keep people safe. Now the NDP wants to add PST to those security services, costing this community another $84,000 a year. Instead of fixing the public safety crisis, this government is taxing people for protecting themselves. That’s not leadership. That’s failure.

Valuers are now adding disclaimers about land claims to your property appraisal. They're hedging because they see the risk. Meanwhile, the NDP says there's no threat to property rights. None at all. The NDP promised to go to the wall for homeowners. They even talked about backstopping mortgages. Someone's not being straight with you. And it's not the people assessing your home's value. #bcpoli

Big business becomes small business. And small business goes out of business. That’s the NDP formula. Small businesses are already being forced to hire private security out of pocket because this government can’t keep communities safe. That cost exists because of the NDP’s incompetence in dealing with public safety and repeat offenders. And what’s the NDP’s response? Slap PST on the very security services businesses now need just to survive. The NDP isn’t listening to small businesses. They keep punishing the people trying to keep our local economies alive. #bcpoli

“Pretty soon there won’t be any more privately owned businesses left because they haven't got the wherewithal to survive.” That's what one small business owner told us. With disorder and crime on the rise, business owners are being forced to hire private security just to keep their doors open and their staff safe. Security guards have become a routine expense for so many small businesses in B.C. And now, the NDP is adding PST to those very security services they need to keep running. Why is the NDP piling yet another tax onto the services small businesses now have no choice but to rely on? Small businesses are already struggling to stay afloat. They're the backbone of our economy yet the NDP keeps on punishing them. #bcpoli

The backlash to the NDP’s tax-hiking, record deficit budget is hitting hard. New polling shows the budget is the most unpopular since 2011. The worst recorded under any government for over 15 years. British Columbians see it for what it is: higher taxes, deeper debt, and a government that has completely lost the public’s trust. #bcpoli
