Proud moment in the BC Legislature today as my private members bill, Bill M 231 – Veterans and First Responders Month Act passed! As a Canadian Armed Forces veteran myself, I’m honoured to have introduced this bill to recognize the incredible sacrifices and service of our veterans and first responders. Every November, British Columbians will now officially honour the brave men and women who protect our communities and our country. Thank you to all who supported its passage. This is for every veteran and first responder who continues to inspire us. Lest We Forget. #SupportOurVets #FirstResponders #BCLegislature #M231

BC had a chance to protect you from exactly this. A pipeline. The NDP blocked it instead. And now, gas is $2.17 a litre in some places with more increases coming. The NDP chose this. And they're making you pay for it. #bcpoli

The decline of this province wasn't an accident. It was a choice made by this NDP government. BC doesn't just want change. It needs it. #bcpoli

The government’s position on this has been clear as mud. Either they got the consultation process wrong, or they are once again allowing a critical project to be tied up in court because they can’t stand up to environmental NGOs and deliver a process that actually works. This isn’t complicated. The Ksi Lisims LNG project is a generational opportunity for the North. Jobs, investment, and long-term economic stability for our communities. A “major projects list” means nothing if this government can’t get projects across the finish line. At some point, they need to take responsibility for the system they created, because right now, it’s British Columbians who are paying the price.

The NDP won't tell you what the World Cup is costing you. $624 million was their estimate a year ago. Now they say security costs are still "evolving." And the last time BC hosted a major event, the security bill ballooned from $175 million to nearly $1 billion. Six weeks out. No number. No plan. #bcpoli

Last night, I was on CBC News speaking about the sudden cancellation of the Beedie Long Term Care Centre - and like so many in our community, I am shocked. This project was something people were counting on. To have it pulled with no warning is a complete blindside. The silence and lack of transparency from the NDP government is deeply concerning. Our communities deserve answers, and more importantly, action. #BCpoli @MistyVanPopta

The NDP Attorney General isn't negotiating to protect property rights. She's negotiating a co-governance model sharing provincial decision-making power with First Nations leaders. That was never on the ballot. #bcpoli

We quoted the Regional Chief of BC directly. The Premier called it fearmongering. He couldn't answer whether British Columbians are living under co-governance and dual authority. That's not fearmongering. That's a question that deserves an answer. #bcpoli

The NDP has no plan to keep British Columbians safe during FIFA. And this is a government that can't keep them safe on a good day. #bcpoli #FIFA

No government in the province's history has overpromised and underdelivered as much as the BC NDP. Targeting seniors and children with autism in their budget, taking BC from a surplus to a historic deficit. To fail this spectacularly must take real effort. Government should work for the people it serves. This one doesn't. #bcpoli

NEW: Today, the NDP officially CANCELLED Delta’s Beedie Long Term Care project - not “re-phased,” cancelled. They out-right lied to the public. Today in QP, I asked: When will it restart? Answer: “no time frame...we’ve spent too much.” Fraser Health has re-costed the price per bed to substantially lower it. The government is stonewalling them. This is happening in Burnaby too. It's appalling! #BCpoli @GlobalTV @RobShaw_BC @CBCAlerts @CTVVancouver @VancouverSun @DeltaOptimist

Is BC being co-governed with First Nations leadership? That was the simple question I asked the NDP. All Eby could do was accuse us of fear-mongering and hide behind legal jargon instead of giving a straight answer. The Regional Chief said it clearly when asked about co-governance: "Yes, that's exactly right." The Premier won't confirm it. He won't deny it. That silence is the answer. #bcpoli

"Unusually secretive at the best of times" That's how the NDP is being described. When asked how much FIFA is going to cost taxpayers, the Solicitor General refused to give an answer. This is what transparency looks like under an NDP government. #bcpoli

Today, British Columbians mark the National Day of Mourning. In 2025, 138 workers in B.C. lost their lives due to workplace injury and illness. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community forever changed. We remember, and we recommit to safer workplaces for all.

#FraserHealthCheck: (April 20 – April 26) Closures continue at the Peace Arch Hospital Maternity Unit, and the Mission Hospital ER, while Ridge Meadows Hospital Maternity Unit issues its 6th maternity diversion this year. These are the effects of negligent funding. Numbers don’t lie. Fraser Health = 40% population, 22% funding. #BCpolitics #fraserhealth

Today, we remember the lives lost in the attack at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver. One year later, we stand with the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry that loss. We honour those taken too soon and we reaffirm the importance of keeping our communities safe.

The #BCLeg Canadian flag flies at half-mast today in observance of the one‑year anniversary of the tragic deaths resulting from the attack at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver. We honour the lives lost and extend our continued thoughts to their families and communities.

The Attorney General says the NDP is "clear" on DRIPA. But she can't answer a simple yes or no question. Premier Eby has flip-flopped on DRIPA six times in weeks, and the AG's response? More word salad. You deserve a government that says what it means and means what it says. #bcpoli
