@FrequenCUnknown @SD_Comic_Con This is a city tax increase. Not it's not illegal. Voters in San Diego approved this in 2020 and it was tied up in legal battles until this year when it is finally being implemented. There's no law protecting you from the government increasing taxes lol

@TheNerdElement @SD_Comic_Con They had no way of knowing. Measure C has been tied up in legal battles since it was passed by voters in 2020. It's being implemented now because the city won in court. And the TOT isn't new, we've been paying it for years - this is just an increase.

i am seeing a lot of users concerned about removing blocks. We can make mutes stronger, like not allow people you mute to reply or quote you. We can also transfer you block list to mute list. Preventing an account from seeing your posts does not work in practice. Anyone with any intent can find out what you post by simply creating another account or logging out

@trackcomicscons @SD_Comic_Con Time in the form isn't the only thing that determines placement - hotel choices, room type and dates also seem to be factors. Just keep waiting! We've gotten our first choice before (MMM) even though we weren't in the first set of people into the form.

@SD_Comic_Con The links in the email were unique as well. The text of the email showed the link going to comic-con.configio.com/returning-regi… but if you actually mouse over it the link it went to was a personalized one that looked like as mce.configio.com/ct/xxxxx/xxxxx… (with actual numbers).
