Coming soon to @maplesproutgg We're soon introducing SOCIAL FEATURES for deeper social interactivity in #MapleStoryU Here's a bit of what you can expect 👇 ⭐️Player Ratings You'll be able to rate other players on areas like bossing, party quests, general/social, and the economy. Given the nature of web3 and the transferring/selling of characters, we had to consider a lot of unique edge cases for this system: • Ratings will be tied primarily to player wallets, BUT we'll also log these ratings on the characters themselves AND keep track of ratings placed on previous owners, for transparency as assets are transferred. • Evidence might be required when rating players negatively, and this will be visible for other players to get full context. • We also want to prevent a toxic comment section. For now, we will use a structured tag system alongside a formal dispute system where accused players can provide counter-evidence. (Community members can flag fake evidence as well) • Anti-abuse measures such as preventing retaliation, strict anti-botting, and other measures will be in place to prevent issues such as review-bombing. Raters must have verified socials, a linked wallet, and meet minimum CP/Server requirements to even leave a rating. The goal is for the community to be able to build more trust in a high-stakes environment where money could be on the line and there's more anonymity. It won't be perfect on day one, but we will continue improving it to cover as many gaps as possible. 🏰 Guild Recruitment & LFG A place to connect guilds and players outside of the game: • Guilds can set verifiable requirements (level, CP, player rating, linked socials, languages, etc.) so only players who meet them can apply. • You can set guild application procedures and manually accept/reject players all in one place. • Customize your guild profiles with logos, banners, and more. • This will also finally allow guild leaders to refresh guild member data to keep their roster updated for the CP leaderboards. • LFG (Looking For Guild) → Players can publish their characters as open to joining, so guild leaders and managers can easily find and invite them. We have more social features planned as well, but expect these two to launch soon. If anyone wants early access to try out a few days before they are live and give feedback, please let me know and will try to get a few people in!
