Update: Valve has now confirmed it will be shipping Steam Machine in 2026.

@ThePharticusMax @Darren76780228 @geoffkeighley I mean just because something good came from the ashes of something else doesn't mean the previous thing didn't burn out with a whimper. They learned great lessons from it & I'm glad they did! But it WAS a failure. It's silly to act like it wasn't.

@ThePharticusMax @Darren76780228 @geoffkeighley Just to answer the question, he is referring to Steam Machines from back in 2015 that were a similar initiative but with Valve partnering with other hardware manufacturers. It did not do well at all.

@2_Old_4_Gaming I have the OLED (technically 2 😅) and the Slim and I always find myself playing on the OLED model. I know it's heavier and thicker but I like that feel, the premium look and feel of that model, and of course the beautiful screen!

The PlayStation Vita launched in North America 14 years ago today! Who else is still playing their OLED PSVita?

PlayStation Vita was first released 14 years ago today.

@Noxyfied The PSP was such a FUN multimedia machine during its time in the market. I really remember feeling like it was the future, and, in many ways, it was! It was what a phone became before phones became it and took the reins from the little guy. Exciting time in tech that I miss!

The psp and ps vita are such amazing portable consoles I would love to be at the right time and place when these were brand new consoles to get the most experience out of things like WiFi, multiplayer, and use the psp an all media device!

@shaun1neo Let's see if the rumors of another Portal model are true and what they bring!

@TriangleSqrd The Portal has evolved greatly since launch with many existing features we only dreamed possible. A Second Screen feature fits in that category nicely. We can only hope, with rumours of a new Portal model on the Horizon. And even more potential for future consoles. 😋

@TriangleSqrd Hey Brett, I was listening to you talk about the Vita’s Second Screen feature. Now I really want this idea to come to the PS Portal. It would be really great to use the Portal as a main controller with additional features that enhance the PS5 experience

For a while Nintendo DS Emulation on PS Vita was deemed impossible, but Grarak proved all non-believers wrong. He is showing us that dedication and consistency go a long way. He made DS on Vita in 2026 a REALITY🤘

@shaun1neo @ChrisFigz_ With so many good games in the series, it's okay for any of them to be someone's "least favorite" as far as I am concerned!

@ChrisFigz_ @TriangleSqrd I know many rate MGS3 as the best but I’m not one of them. I still think MSG1 has the best story and MGS2 has the best gameplay. That said, I enjoyed MGS4 but I don’t remember much about it and I haven’t played it since it came out originally.

@TriangleSqrd My first platinum of 2026 were Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. @ChrisFigz_ did you get the platinum on your play through? I’m not sure if I want to attempt the play on MGS3. There’s no option to pause the game and you have to complete it on extreme under 5 hours I think

@_xenova I think we've realized they can't entirely and so now we look back and go "dang, that thing was cool"

@_xenova It continues to feel like a quality handheld in 2026, and always blows me away by how it feels and looks. Sony DID drop the ball in many aspects but I think culture was in a weird place with trying to understand if phones could act as replacements for these things.
