@LoganMPierce1 No it doesn’t help illustrate your point at all. Mormonism is built on a lie. Actually a series of lies. And it’s rejected as being true at all. How does a lie help fix the gospel of Christ in place? It doesn’t.

@TribeRuffner That only helps to illustrate my point though. Each branch of Christendom has the Bible. Point the Gospel directional arrow one way, it’s Catholic. Move it slightly, it’s Baptist, or Lutheran. God sent us a second witness of Christ in The Book of Mormon to cease the debates.

How can this book, even if it were true (it's not) be more important than the Bible itself? I mean what are we even doing here guys... When does the insanity end? I guess never...

LDS - in King Follet Sermon, Joseph says about Jesus “To lay down my life as my Father did, and take it up again. Do you believe it? If you do not believe it you do not believe the Bible. The scriptures say it” WHERE? Where do the scriptures say the Father laid down his life? Please do not cite John 5:19, it is present tense… meaning Jesus does what He sees the Father doing. If you want to take that verse literal and use it, do so, but that means the Father was actively doing His earthly ministry the same time as Jesus lol

I live in the Midwest. “Flyover country” as they call it. There are many, many things I love about where I live. But here’s one reason… Mexican restaurants, usually called “La Fiesta” or “Fiesta Charra” where you get endless chips and salsa, $15 margarita pitcher, $15 plate of fajitas, which gets delivered within 15 minutes of ordering

The Nicene Creed— the foundation of our faith— says Jesus was “crucified under Pontius Pilate,” not “The Jews.”

“Mormonism means Jesus failed to preserve His Church.” Only if your Bible is missing, like, the entire Bible. The scriptural pattern is God establishing a covenant people, watching them drift into apostasy, and then sending prophets to correct, warn, restore, and gather. That is not an embarrassing exception to the Bible. That is the plot of the Bible. Paul literally warned of “grievous wolves,” disciples being drawn away, and a “falling away” before the coming of Christ. So the Restoration is not “Jesus failed.” It is “humans apostatized, and God restored.” Again.
