@EichLdn I’ve had some (not much) luck recently playing the “small venue” card to get a reduction on fees, however if it was standard practice across the industry I’m certain we’d see a much more lively ecosystem of small independent venues and promoters!

@TriesteDJ Exactly this! Last year i was trying to book an unannounced artist at an 80 cap venue and the agent wouldn’t come down on the 1200 fee. The lack of understanding about the costs of running a party are killing independent venues and promoters off very quickly.

No wonder small promoters are pretty much non existent in London, not feasible at all to put parties on independently anymore. Super sad to see. Guess it’s just big room raving from now on. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RAVE.
