@BanteredB_ Quit solely blaming the players. There’s one common denominator and that’s Pope. He built this team and has failed to coach a lot of them at the most fundamental level of basketball.

It’s hard to blame it all one one guy but

Rebounding is proving to be a PROBLEM for Kentucky. That’s frustrating. Collin Chandler needs to get one to fall. Would be a GREAT time for a little run in this next segment.

@JDSHELBURNE Iowa State and Arizona just played the game of the year in the Big 12 finale. The game was back and forth from the 1st half to the 2nd. Took Arizona hitting a crazy last second shot to win it. Iowa State is playing really good basketball right now.

What happens if Tennessee State upsets Iowa State? Ain’t nobody talking that.

@jacetheukfan He’s 9-2 against them. He was 2-0 at Utah Valley and 7-2 against them at BYU. Granted, the troubling part is that he got beat by them twice at BYU 🤷🏻‍♂️

@RowlandRIVALS More times than not history is written by the victors. Cal has proven that his move to Arkansas was far better than our hiring of Pope.

I appreciate Calipari's friends wanting to see him do well, but the whole "he wasn't treated well" at Kentucky is insane. He set the market rate for basketball coaches. Kentucky mainstreamed him at exactly the moment he was becoming untouchable for many. And at the same moment his friends are getting sentimental he's still lobbing bombs at BBN; it was never about the fans, it's about me and the players. SEC championship or not, whether Pope succeeds or not, it was time.

Good for Cal. Honestly. He would not have done this if he had stayed in Lexington. He needed a fresh start, and he's shown why he's a Hall of Famer.

@Wildcat_wave I know until the SEC tournament, Ole Miss had a fairly terrible season but this is exactly what I would want to hear from my head coach. It appears Mark is completely focused on the wrong metrics and what’s even worse, he doubled down after the Missouri game.

That’s exactly what BBN needs to hear.

@BigBlueBud I initially loved that Mark was going to incorporate analytics into the basketball program but with his sub patterns and his obsession with fatigue has me super concerned on how he chooses to interpret the data. What you just posted is exactly what he needs to be focused on.

Mark Pope “mass subbed” 3 or more players 28 times vs ranked opponents this season. Of the 28, 16 (57%) led to a worse score margin for Kentucky by the next UK substitution than the margin when the group entered. 3 were neutral, only 9 (32%) led to a better margin by next sub.
