Today our students had the amazing opportunity to hear from Paralympic Gold medalist, @HanCockroft, at the Halifax Minster's Festival of Faith! 🏅 Hannah spoke inspirationally about her career highlights as well as offering the fantastic chance for a Q & A with this incredible sportswoman. 🔴 COMIC RELIEF 2026 🔴 Our annual Comic Relief Event was a huge success this lunch time! Our staff took to the stocks to allow students some target practice with sponge throwing!! 💧🧽 Students were lining up to donate in exchange for a chance to soak their teaching and pastoral staff! One student parted with a full £20 they were so keen!! 🤣 Thank you to our fantastic staff who willingly volunteered to be tortured today in the good name of charity! ✨😅 And a huge well done to our Charity PLG for organising such a great event! #tsfa #trinitysixthformacademy #comicrelief #rednoseday #charity

🩺✨ Last week, our Year 12 students were diving into the essentials of first aid and CPR in their Trinity+ sessions. From practising chest compressions on adults and children dummies to learning how to place someone safely in the recovery position, they stepped up with maturity and determination. They learned the skills and composure needed in emergency situations as well as developing the understanding that they’re capable of making a real difference. Knowing how to act in an emergency isn’t just a lesson; it’s empowerment, responsibility, and compassion in action. Here’s to our students for embracing the challenge and gaining skills that could one day save a life. WORLD BOOK DAY! 📚📖 Our World Book Day of 2026! 😄 (Slightly delayed!) Our staff and students had a great day celebrating reading with some fantastic fancy dress from a huge variety of literature! Our Earthshot PLG also hosted a Book Swap in the foyer for staff and students to drop off old books and pick up new ones as well as students studying Poe's 'Tell-tale Heart' in Trinity+! 📚 We also held the 'Drop everything and read' following the World Book Day assembly where everyone got stuck into a good book they had brought in! 😄📖 #TSFA #trinitysixthformacademy #worldbookday #reading #literature #literacy

Today we hosted our annual Mock Results Day for our Year 13 students following their recent trial exams! 🥳🎉 It was wonderful to see them celebrating their hard work so far and also having the opportunity to reflect on what these results would mean on their aspiration choices. 💭 Staff were on hand to celebrate with students and offer invaluable advice and guidance as they prepare for their final few weeks in college. Our students in Andorra have had a fantastic two days so far on the slopes! ⛷️ Some of our students are complete beginners who have never done this before and are learning how to ski with great confidence! 😄 We also have some quite experienced skiers amongst us who have been showing exactly how it should be done with excellent skills! 👏 Everyone is having the best time so far and they are looking forward to 3 more days enjoying their skiing adventure! 😆 #trinitysixthformacademy #trinitytrips #andorra #skitrip #opportunities

As part of National Careers Week, throughout this week in Trinity+ our Year 12 will be experiencing simulated assessment centres delivered by various employer and university providers. Our first session of the week was delivered by an excellent team from Intact Insurance. Our students were introduced to assessment centres and what they could expect from them in the future. The simulation then allowed our students to gain first‑hand experience of interactive group tasks, interview‑style questions, and personalised feedback. This was an incredibly valuable opportunity to build confidence, develop employability skills, and prepare for future pathways. At TSFA today, we had a range of services from the local area who joined us for our annual wellbeing fair. 🧠🤗 Our students were given the opportunity to see what support is available within Calderdale for a variety of needs. This included mental health and wellbeing support, young carers, physical health, drug and alcohol awareness, healthy futures and Locala. During our weekly Wednesday enrichment today, our Year 12 Duke of Edinburgh students were being taught practical skills in camping craft! ⛺ 🥾 They were learning how to use a trangua for the first time in preparation for their expeditions. Today our Year 12 A-level PE students visited Leeds Beckett University for a sports experience day to gain an insight into what university life entails as well as what sports related degrees are on offer. ⛹🏻‍♀️⚽🏉🥅 This morning started with a session on Sports Management, followed by a session on Scientific Factors affecting Physical Activity. ⚛️🏋🏻‍♀️ Students then got the chance to explore the state of the art facilities which Leeds Beckett has to offer on a campus tour.
