@SkyDiaryScot Yes we do, and I understand that they don't want to use Groningen because of the people living there, but we wonder 'would they disagree with drilling if we're all stuck without gas for cooking and central heating, as they would feel that too'

@Trish582 Absolutely! Yes, of course we need to reduce fossil fuel consumption. But for as long as we still rely heavily on it, drill our own. Does the Netherlands import a lot too?

This may be controversial, but we currently import 50/60% of our oil and gas needs; whilst reducing drilling in the North sea and closing Grangemouth refinery. Bonkers. We need to up production to be more self-sufficient! Sick of the green agenda!
