Another case of when THE LAW COURTS and the Government are dancing to the same tune!!!!! I suppose we could fill a book with cases of Politics tipping the Scales of Justice as Michael Kennedy says!
Australian Patriot.@JimThom90458694

LEST WE FORGET. Justice in Australia: When Politics Tips the Scales By Michael Kennedy Australia prides itself on being a fair and just society. Yet recent events show a troubling disparity in how justice is applied — especially when politics and optics come into play. Ben Roberts-Smith, a Victoria Cross recipient, served his country with extraordinary courage in one of the most complex and dangerous conflicts of our time. Yet he now faces legal scrutiny for actions taken on the battlefield — decisions made in the chaos of war, under conditions most Australians will never fully comprehend. A soldier, acting to protect his troops, stands under the weight of legal and public judgment. Contrast this with the case of Dan Andrews, who was able to leave the scene of a serious accident without facing standard legal procedures, yet continues to receive a government pension and rewards. Meanwhile, many Australians have silently endured the consequences of policy failures — bankruptcies, health crises, and personal hardship — often without accountability from those in power. The imbalance is stark. On one hand, a war hero faces the full force of the law. On the other, powerful political figures appear shielded by position and influence. When political optics begin to shape enforcement, the scales of justice no longer balance — fairness becomes an ideal, not a reality. This is bigger than any one individual. It speaks to systemic issues — political interference, selective accountability, and a growing erosion of public trust in the institutions meant to protect us all equally. Justice must not only be blind — it must be consistent. If Australians are to maintain faith in the system, it must treat soldiers and citizens with the same standard applied to those in positions of power. Anything less risks undermining the very principles this nation was built upon. The question remains: where is the balance, and where is the fairness? Lest we forget.

Yes Glenn, you would not believe the faith most of his constituents have in him. It's a bit like Barnaby Joyce - his Electorate would vote for him if he joined the Marihuana Party!
Glenn Osborne@glenn0030651

@Fowler13Peter @TrishCharter The fact that he was elected in 2015, and is still an MP means that he passes muster with a fair proportion of his electorate.

🔱Sentry1161 “Politicians have ruined our Country”@Sentry1161

@TrishCharter 2: (An Unsworn Role) at the Melbourne Office at the age of 21 (circa 2002). By the time the Bali Bombings occurred that same year, she has moved to Canberra, participated in a 6 month recruit course, and then been assigned an investigative role in the Bali Bombings. Righto! >3

Crikey! Does anyone still believe the Australian Courts and the Govt ARE IN REALITY "DIFFERENT" bu which u meant they operate in totally separate ways??? In dreamland they might be. We have never been through a period like this last 4 years when decisions made in courts ran so frequently parallel to exactly what the Albanese Labor Party wanted! What do you think would have happened 2 the Govt is that poor randy bloke who had consensual sex with Brittany Higgins had not been made by the Courts to look like the biggest predator of women when the evidence was very clear that Higgins was a very willing Party BUT having been left by the bloke naked o n her bosses couch........ and this the woman who Albo paid almost $3M - but could never be forced to explain why - DO U GET MY DRIFT?
Michael Smart@Michael83424242

@TrishCharter Oh Get Real. This is not a Govt thing. Ever heard that Courts and Govt are Different? Seperate? Not an accident. When the Judge ruled in that Civil Case the Police had to act. I'm AMAZED it took this long. Shows a Systemic issue in Aus.

@TrishCharter I hated this parasite the minute he lied and told Aussies in an online interview that he would be voting no for the under 16’s social media bill. Then did the exact opposite 30 minutes later & voted yes for the bill to be passed. Hastie is absolute human garbage.

This kind of thing has been like a creeping disease throughout Australia for sometime now MrLincoln
Mr Lincoln@MrLinco82134232

@Sentry1161 @TrishCharter She is a fast track DEI appointment as were multiple other female officers in both the AFP and other State forces. Promotion was not based on merit but meeting DEI targets. Sadly, many better qualified male officers missed out due to this policy!

@TrishCharter @Sauronlordking I voted Libs all my life but the straw that broke the camels back is Andrew Hastie. I don’t trust him at all and won’t vote Libs as long as he is around. He is a loose cannon. Hey there BRS - don’t turn your back on this guy and stay away from him.
